I have some users complaining that Oterro 8.0 access to the database is slower than it used to be with Oterro 3.5. I have the same settings in Oterro8.cfg that I used to have in Oterro35.cfg (and matching settings in command files that run before and after connect in R:BASE). There seems to be contention when both kinds of users are hitting the database, that doesn't seem to happen when there's one type or the other type only. I'm looking for examples of optimum settings in both. I haven't yet tried to switch to FASTLOCK and STATICDB. Do any of you have experience with that that says it would be worth the pain in the butt when it's time to add tables or columns? Thanks.
