Razzak

In 7.5 and 8.0 the RBA file does not have the DB path set
it is blank. One of my menu choices runs Intro in Prog7.apx

Also, running Intro in Prog7.apx from the R> gives the error
This is the same code I have used for a long time.

So, that is why I assumed I messed up the instructions on making
this a Server install. I think I will try to Uninstall and try again.

Thanks
Marc

This is getting hard to figure out what is wrong.

When recycling your 7.5 R:BASE Application (.RBA) file to work
with new R:BASE Turbo V-8, you will have to first open the .RBA
file in R:BASE Turbo V-8 Application Designer and then update
the old Database and Path (.RB1) to recognize your new Turbo
V-8 database (.RX1).

Here's how:

01. Start R:BASE Turbo V-8 for Windows

02. Database Explorer | Applications ...

Select the Application File Name and use the right-click
    for Speed Menu options.

    Select "Design Application"

03. While in Application Designer ...

    Main Menu | Options ...

    Select "Set Database and Path"

Update/Change/Select the the appropriate Turbo V-8 database
    with .RX1 extension.

Make sure to erase the leading drive and path. Just keep
the name of actual database (dbname.rx1).

Test everything accordingly while still in Application Designer.

04. Save and Exit Application Designer.

That's all there is to it.

Have fun!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.

P.S. Did you know that there are more eloquent options to design
and deploy your applications, including the External Form Files?

Take a look at the External Form File (RRBYW14MainMenu.rff) app
included with R:BASE Turbo V-8 default installation.
