Larry:
Karen's follow-up got me thinking and I played with it a bit.

If you very scroll the form up leaving gray space at the bottom and then take the mouse
pointer over to the far left of the form (as if you were going to extend it sideways) and then
bring the pointer down to the bottom left corner, there is a very small spot where you can
grab the form and extend it downward. Docking the form design toolbars isn't necessary if
you don't mind scrolling up and down a bit.

In my case I am converting legacy to 7.6 and am going the other direction; i.e. I am fine
shrinking things down a bit using 12 pitch throughout most of the form. I have been able
to remove about 1/3 of the converted form height once I rearrange all the old fields and
headings. I am also adding some Combo boxes and date pickers.

Take care,
Darryl

When designing a form, I have found that you cannot stretch it "taller" than the amount of space you have on your screen.  This is often much less than the actual height of the screen because the form design toolbars, by default, are docked above the form and with all the options R:Base presents you with this takes up a lot of screen real estate.

My first solution is to maximize my vertical design area by docking all the toolbars off to the right.  Since I have a wide screen (17 inch notebook format), I have a lot of "extra" room off to the right.

If I STILL can't get my form as big as I want, I edit the form height property directly, as you're doing.

Karen,
Thanks for the suggestion and follow-up. I still cannot get it to work as you described. Changing the height in the form properties is
working fine for my purposes. I only have a few forms with this situation so it gets me to the goal line which is a good thing.

Thanks again for the extra advice.

Take care,
Darryl

Razzak,
Thanks for the quick reply and welcome.

For some reason I was unable to increase the form height by stretching
it yesterday. I didn't mention that I tried that in my original post.

F11 and increasing the height is the perfect solution for my problem. I
was able to locate everything at the bottom of the form.

Thanks again,
Darryl
