In most cases the fonts are installed in the windows sub dir? As I recall.
Run a script to check for that font and if not there advise IT and have it installed, keep the font in the database as a vchar and load it from there. Sincerely, Paul Dewey I have users from all walks and different Win-OS and use this method on the first screen. It checks for a few things like this but not fonts. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Castanaro, Bob Sent: Tuesday, April 07, 2009 12:05 PM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Arial Narrow Font List, I just ran into a problem that took me a few hours to nail down, and now I need some advice. I was developing reports and sub-reports with RTF format fields. Looks great on my computer. Then transferred the compiled app to a server that is accessed via terminal services. Had all sorts of formatting issues and sizing problems. Discovered the server did not have any arial narrow fonts installed. I have not installed fonts before, how do I copy these to the server? If I recall, fonts have to be "installed'. But I really do not know much about this! Thanks for any advice. Bob C Robert M.
