I am curious what sw/hw combinations folks are using to backup R:Base data.
In my 4.5 application I used a command file to
a) disconnect from R:base
b) backup to diskettes using a compression utility
c) reconnect
d) Pack the DB
My compression utility doesn't work with XP so I need to update the backup routine
and probably the media as well. I typically maintain 4 backup copies; 3 generations
on-site with a fourth done weekly for off-site.
Even with all the enhancements, I don't anticipate the capacity requirement being
greater than 10mb; even if I backup data and structure.
