I have on my shelf the title "Writing Solid Code", but there is nothing
in there about "dashboards", much less vehicle operations.
Dare I say anything about a new title in the "... for Dummies" series?
Or ... isn't it tough to type if one is also engaged in a deployment of
one or more fingers ...
* To deal with bodily exudates?
* To communicate via informal sign-language with highly-interested,
sensitive,
and directionally-challenged outsiders?
* To use the touch-dip method for assessing the current thermodynamic
state
of the portable caffeine reservoir as it sits, in the center
console, steaming,
the quintessential object of workday-morning desire?
Hey, what about a new version of "Anybody can teach a Monkey to drive.
Lemme' tell you, though, if we're talkin' Octopus, well now, that's a
whole new ballgame. You can teach them to drive and program at the same
time. Heck, at the end of the day, you literally have to peel 'em off
both the wheel and the keyboard! Oh, and don't bother with squid; they
a bit pin-headed."
(I know, badaboom, ha-ha, but this one gives me some rich mental
imagery.)

Perhaps in addition to traffic laws banning texting while driving, a ban
on coding behind the wheel would serve society well ...
