Thanks, Jan.

I, too, sometimes use a change of colour to show focus but, in this case, the
image is there "just for fun" - it does nothing other than look better than an
empty space.

Nevertheless, you've given me an idea to give the image focus in case that
makes the cursor arrow "active" in some way.

Regards,
Alastair.

  Alastair,

While not directly responding to your question, I use a different background
color when the control is focused. That way the user can tell when the
control
is focused. I don't believe it is available for all controls but it is in
DB-Edit and
  Variable-Edit.

Also you can right clik on the object and change the cursor style.

There are also PROPERTY commands for the cursor position in some objects.
  Something like
  PROPERTY mycomponent FIRSTCHAR 'TRUE'
places the cursor at the first position in the object.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Mouse & image: previously unobserved observation!

    Hi all,

I have a form which, at some times, displays a combobox, a speed button and
a (variable) image in a group box.

In this format the mouse is not always visible or, sometimes, turns to a
double ended arrow. The combobox opens automatically and when the mouse is not
visible the items do get highlighted so can be chosen.

I have recently changed this form from a wide format (1200x600) to a
narrower one (600x400) and now use property commands to show or hide items
depending on a choice made on what used to be the left-hand side of the form to
display what used to be the right-hand side. It works great and is much neater
- I just can't always see the mouse cursor.

Has anybody come across this and have any idea what might cause it and/or
how to resolve it? (v7.6) For no real reason I have assumed that it is
something to do with the image but I can find no setting that might affect it.

    Regards,
    Alastair
