Gunnar my old friend ! if I could only tell you what my NetGear FSV308 did
to me last week. In short it lost all of its settings and I had JUST
switched my DHCP to a Win Server 2008 like two days before. I went on
vacation (two days) and the whole office was without Internet. I have not
explanation! But you can tell what I was doing the first part of Monday.

I only use the NetGear as a firewall and VPN tunnel. Not switching nics.

Sincerely,

Paul

I used to use the netgear prosafe gigabit switches and my database would get
corrupt from time to time. It happened enough that I had a routine
documented and in place when it happened.

I switched to more expensive 3com gigabits switches and no more
problems(knock on wood).

Pay now or pay later...
