  Cathy

If you have the second table added to the report you can try

PRINT reportname ARRANGE secondtableName BY columnlist WHERE ... ORDER BY
firsttableColumns

Forgot to mention what I've tried already.

I added vOrd# variable referencing column want from Categ table. Couldn't
sort by using R prompt.

Then ADDED second table to report, but couldn't figure out how to change
report entry vord# to ord# (doesn't display in pull down list).

  Subject: Need Help Report

Sorry for the simple question. I've been happy with all my reports, tables,
forms, etc., so it has been many years since I actually designed one....and
have forgotton a whole lot.

I have a main table with data entries. Have second Category table with 3
columns. One of the Category columns is also included in main data table, so
can easily sort by that. Now, however, I would like to sort a report based on
a Second Column in Category table without having to add that column to my main
data table.

Can't for the life of me remember how to do this - or even if I can. Is
there some easy way? I have 7.6.
