Jim,
Thanks!!!!
Put me down for any time, except the Sept. 24-27 period.
Columbus, maybe around the Polaris area, would be fine for me -- but we need
to make darn sure that we don't pick an OSU home weekend!
I'm not sure about a 9.0 Extreme weekend, as, at least as of the moment, I'm
not there yet.
I think the "R-Stock" idea is a good one, and I hope you can bring it off.
Keep me posted.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - R:Base + Woodstock = R:Stock
Message to all Ohio RB users:
I wanted to know if there is any interest in having a one day get-together
of Ohio R:Base users where each participant would bring their laptop, and
would have an allotted time frame to demo one or two (or more if time
permits) applications, along with discussion on their apps.
I think it would give each participant an insight into other peoples
applications, and application development that we never get to see. It would
also show how different the development cycle is for each of us.
The floor would be open for discussion on any RB issues. I imagine it like
'R:Base' Woodstock of 2009. You know, Pease, Love, and R:Base.
If anyone has any unresolved programming issues, we could discuss them as
well (only if we have time), .....BUT, DO NOT think of this as a day to
resolve programming issues. We may be able to resolve issues only if time
permits.
Think of it as a day to be wowed by other developers....Remember, Peace,
Love, and R:Base.
Location is not important, but we want to be somewhat centrally located for
all participants. We could meet in Columbus, Mansfield, or actually anywhere
in Ohio.
The only cost involved would be each person's driving costs, meals and a
shared cost if we need to rent a meeting room. I'm thinking sometime in
Sept, October, or November, and we could do this on a Saturday, or on any
day, depending on the participants involved.
We would concentrate on any version of 7.1 through 9.0 windoze R:Base ! NO
DOS !
One day only, say 9:00 to 4 or 5:00 pm. It would be a good time to meet
other RB users, review, and gain a better insight into RB development, and
whats happening in Ohio..
We did this 10 or so years ago, back in the early days of 7.0 in Mansfield,
Ohio, and had a great time.
If you have any interest, please let me know:
Thanks for your time
