Karen,
We used Symphony here at our company years ago (maybe 17?). Symphony is really a spreadsheet that has an option that lets you enter information as if you are using a database. But it is just a spreadsheet. An existing RBase 7.6 client has a department that has one old computer still running a DOS version of Lotus Symphony, claim they can't get the software to run on a new computer and want me to possible convert to RBase. I've never used Symphony.... From their icon properties, it looks like everything might be in one directory, since both the target and start-in directories have the same local directory. I'm getting them to send me the entire contents of that directory, don't have it yet. If I get the job, I'd be willing to bring in someone knowledgeable in Symphony to help me. But to get an idea of what I'm up against, if anyone can answer: 1. What file(s) would the database be? What extension, or whatever else to identify. 2. Does Symphony have external program files? 3. Possible to get data out of Symphony? Anything else??? Thanks a bunch! Karen
