David, The simple answer to your question is yes but the technique for doing so will vary depending on how you have your data structured. For instance, in one of my vertical applications I have a check book. It is not uncommon for checks or deposits to be entered out of date sequence which dictates that you have to adjust the balance based on the date of the transaction rather than the date of the last entry. In that case it is not a simple process of updating a balance of data that is always entered sequentially. Describe how your data is laid out, what you are trying to accomplish and we may be able to offer some suggestions.
