Bernie,
If you need to do this regularly all you need to do is add a Word macro to
Razzak's first answer:
Record a macro which:
opens the required document or offers the selection of a file to open;
finds the start of page 2 ([Ctrl]+G);
selects all from there to the top (i.e. page 1) ([Ctrl][Shift][Home]);
saves selection to a new (temporary) document;
closes Word - you'll probably have to add this manually. (I have a macro
that prints a document from a shortcut and closes Word so I can tell you how
to do it if need be.)
If you're going to do it for a number of Word documents you'll need to check
that it works on the open document rather than a named one.
You can then use LAUNCH to run Word with the macro;
Then do your import using the newly saved file.
You can delete the file if you want of simply overwrite if if you're going
to repeat the process.
Regards,
Alastair.

Anyone up this late?
I want to import page 1 of a word doc that has 2 pages.
How can I delete page 2 before importing?
The simple approach would be to open the document in MS Word
and delete the second page. <g>
However, you may:
01. Save the document as .rtf
02. While in Report Designer, place the "Rich Text" object
Then, right-click | Edit
or
Double-click on the object to open R:BASE Rich Text Editor
Click on "Open" button on the tool bar to import the .rtf
Now you have the total control to manage the document,
including the removal of paragraphs that you don't need.
Hope that helps!
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
