Output c:\temp\var_cap.txt
Show var
Output screen
Review the var's I would put this at the END just a the user clicks
'Button'.
In the var capture the server dir and freespace. Something to prove the
user is still in fact is still connected.
SET VAR vwinuser1 = ((CVAL('COMPUTER')) etc....
Just start simple (KISS! ) and hope it is just that. Hope that the var
themselves will show you what is happening - assuming this only happens when
you are not looking.
Check coffee pots, paper shreders, florecent lights, etc.... all things on
that circuit.
Sincerely,
Paul Dewey

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Unusual performance issue
We have had an issue come up twice this week that has me stumped.
We run R:base 7.5 on each of our 4 office machines.
All 4 access the same database located on the server.
R:base is not running on the server.
An order form that we use to take and print orders normally works perfectly.
On 2 occasions, the form has failed to assign a new order number to
the order being taken, and print it. Both happen as you close the order.
It does not hang up, closes normally, and the main menu comes on.
Once it does this, The only thing that seems to help is re-booting the
server.
That makes absolutely no sense to me.
Any ideas out there?
