I had a user call with a weird problem that only happens on their computer
when they send me the RB* files it works fine on my computer

Subject: [RBASE-L] - FYI Virus hit some R:Base EXEs
Just an FYI.
We had a virus or something hit our servers the other morning and
corrupted many EXEs.
Most notably the newer versions of R:Base 7.5 and above. I had some
compiled apps and even an 7.6 RBG76.exe happily humming along for years
and suddenly the files were manipulated with new time stamps and stopped
working. Did not affect v9.0 that I can tell, but it is in beta and not
on the server - just my workstation.
This was not limited to R:base, but there were a FEW other programs that
got hit. Not a happy day.
Here was the bug IT sent me:
PE_SALITY.AL is the virus that I see being cleaned by TrendMicro.
