Ed, Thank you for asking a great question. Here is how we can accomplish that for you.
1. Write a check to "Project Bundle Up" 2. Send the check to R:BASE attention Donna Memon She will ensure that all monies raised by R:BASE will be turned in at the same time to Project Bundle Up. Sorry we won't see you there. First, I am hardly the professional developer unlike most that contribute here. I have a systems level IT background though I did write my Rent application 19 years ago in r:Base 4.0 and it is now running parallel under 7.6 after a moderate effort and very helpful support here. Not being a pro developer, I am not attending the Dev Conference though it would be great to put faces to the many that have assisted. As such I will not be there to contribute to Project Bundle-up but would like to make a contribution as part of the Developer Conference fund raising effort honoring all of you that have been and continue to be so helpful. How do you recommend I make my contribution to such a good cause. We will do our best at being non-ubtrusive during the conference. But we will endeavor to be good enforcers. For those of you unaware of what this is, refer to www.projectbundleup.com . Notice who manages the site! Because of the shorter conference this year it was decided that there would not be silent auction. We have decided to have a real auction! It will be during the Saturday evening festivities. So bring an item to auction (or several). Any of you that have any formal auctioneer abilities let me know offline please. Traditionally, the rules have included donations for any or all of the following: sports references cell phone/computer noises in the room political opinion or commentary asking a question already answered audible private conversations during someone's presentation, (on a phone or not) tracking weekend sports scores or progress on your phone or computer ("weekend pass" donation price available) I'm sure I've forgotten some. Last year, at the huge 10th Year Conference, we raised over $4,600. Let's see if we can match it (or better exceed) this year. Bring extra cash or checks for this purposes of donating to the cause. Be aware! Your off topic references on the list are being monitored so we can give to this worthy cause. Mr. Downall has already started with golf references. I'm sure now that football is in full swing and basketball coming on line that we should be able to fill the coffers. As mentioned earlier, there will be weekend passes available. You will be able to purchase a "pass" during registration. Let's get motivated about the amazing things we will see at the conference and for what we can do for those less fortuate than ourselves.
