I would first try it in Task Manager to make sure it is NOT needed. I spend a lot of time with people that disable the wrong ones.
Then MSCONFIG or “HiJack This”! But be very careful!! w/hijack you can kill the wrong one. Then CCleaner to clean the reg after. JM.02 Make sure everything works. Also please be aware that CCleaner can disrupt MS-7 menu’s etc. Use with caution! I have not narrowed down the ill effect, but I bet they will before me ;) I have had issues with it in the Beta version and toned down the check boxes. Also are you sure it is not a memory card issue? I am actually servicing a laptop 300 miles north of me for that very reason. I hope it’s just a memory chip. X-fingers Slow boot up, 15 minutes so they say. When I check his running processes, there appear to be more than there needs to be. I can't remember where you enable/disable startup processes. Jan
