I tried this and no rows showed though they were inserted into the temp table.
INSERT INTO tBOLRows (Control#, Model#, Sortone, Outshipinv, Quantity) + SELECT Control#, Model#, Sortone, Outshipinv, Quantity FROM OrderRows + WHERE Control# = .vControl PROPERTY TABLE tBOLRows 'REFRESH' RETURN jim ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, November 11, 2009 2:45 PM To: RBASE-L Mailing List Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: recalc tables Two things to mention: 1. "recalc tables" is old-school. I'm assuming you're in 7.6? Insert the rows in the second table and then do a PROPERTY TABLE tBOLRows 'REFRESH'. 2. If rows seem to disappear then it usually means that you have more common column names than you think, and they don't all have matching values. Karen I have a form based on two temp tables. In the header, once I enter our order number, I bring up many lookup fields in the header table. This works fine. I also want to Insert rows into the second table. This happens but the information will not show until I enter the second table. I decided to use the RECAL TABLES in the On exit EEP below INSERT INTO tBOLRows (Control#, Model#, Sortone, Outshipinv, Quantity) + SELECT Control#, Model#, Sortone, Outshipinv, Quantity FROM OrderRows + WHERE Control# = .vControl RECALC TABLES RETURN This does bring up the rows but two things happen. Three fields go blank in the Header then when I leave the next field the rows disappear in the second table. I read the Help and it states, 'The TABLES option recalculates lower tables only, not the current table.' It seems to be recalculating those three fields Jim
