I am trying to search thru a directory of files looking for a word or
phrase in a list of files. I used to have a utility or software to this
but have not used it in a while and reworked my computers. No longer
have it.

Steve,
You need to be a little more explicit. Are you trying to find a
single word, phrase or multiple words or single words at multiple
occurances? Most of the simpler things can be done within RBase as long
as the file is type text.

My typing is horrible today - I meant words in a file

I don't understand what you mean by "find works in a file". Can you
explain?
Mike
