----------------------------Thanks Buddy,

It turns out that I did have a variable that was not defined as text outside
the loop. I have been re-jigging the program and this one must have been
defined earlier since it used to work or a change I had made had some effect
that made this variable significant. Either way, you got me on the right track.

Regards,
Alastair.

First be sure to define all variables before the while loop and do not
clear them or change the datatype in the while loop. Make sure you are using
the current RBENGINE76.DLL and that there is only one. Sometimes this can
happen if when updating you click on the server install instead of work station.

Can anybody tell me what might be causing this error:

Exception EAssessViolation in module RBENGINE76.DLL at 000A9E4A.

Access violation at address 017E9e4A in module 'EBENGINE76.DLL'.

  Read of address 2020035C.

Everything works when I run the RMD file through TRACE.

It fails in a WHILE loop so I have tried SETting WHILEOPT OFF but it makes no
difference.

The first iteration is performed correctly but then it fails on the second.

  Thanks in advance & regards,

  Alastair
