I think that's why on some databases Gateway seems to start up right away, and 
on other databases it takes a few seconds before you see it start to work.  I 
never could figure out why until I had this structure-checking thing happen.   
I doubt there's anything you can do about it.  Unless Gateway came with a 
NOCHECK parameter..

Well I found the offending view.



Problem is, this database has a large number of tables and views so the DB 
structure check is taking a long time, even on a local copy.



Is there any way around this delay?
