all the "multiple dll copy" situations arise because people apply
the updates differently than the original installation (typical vs.

This would be greatly diminished if, in the original installation,
you could indicate which you wanted! And if you wanted "server"
you wouldn't have to manually move files around. Since the update
comes with the option to choose, can't the original install?

Upcoming version of "R:BASE Installer" http://www.rbinstaller.com
will include all necessary options.

Boy, if the program could be really smart, the update would check
to see if the dlls are in the windows directory or not and
automatically choose server install (and vice versa).

Currently distributed "R:BASE Updater" http://www.rbupdater.com
used for all R:BASE updates, does include built-in intelligence to:

Select Folder:

. Read Installation (Default)
. Read Last Executed EXE Folder

Update Type:

. Typical Update
. Server Update

Having said that, applying available updates and keeping yourself
current will be much easier and idiot-proof, with built-in widgets
in the "Official Release Version" of R:BASE eXtreme 9.0 (32/64).

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
