I have a variable lookup list view that displays rows of data from a different table than what the form is based upon. I.E. Form based on table A, list view based on table B. I have a variable memo field below the list view that displays note field data. EEP's are such that when a user clicks on a row in the list view, the data in the variable memo field displays data related to that row. This all works fine and as desired except.... When the form is first called up, it shows 10 rows of data in the list view and the variable memo shows the data related to the first row in the list view. When the form is first called up, focus is set to a variable edit field. If the user clicks on the 5th row (or any row for that matter), the variable memo does not update until the user clicks twice on that row or clicks to another row and moves back. So to recap, the form is called up. The variable memo field reads "TEST ROW 1" which is related to the first row in the list view. The user clicks on the 5th row in the list view. The variable memo does not update and still reads "TEST ROW 1". The correct note will not display until the user either clicks a second time on the 5th row or clicks on another row. Then memo updates accordingly. I have On Entry and On Click EEPS in the List View to update the variable memo. However, it appears that the assigned variable to the list view does not get processed with either On Entry or On Click until the second mouse click. I tested by displaying the assigned variable on the form, and placed a RECALC VAR command both in the On Entry and On Click. When you first click into the list view, the assigned variable value does not change. On the second click, the variable then updates as expected. I need to find the variable value for the list view on the first click into the list view object...I.E. ON ENTRY. Although the ON ENTRY eep does fire, it seems that the assigned variable for the list view is not obtained at that time. Any suggestions? Thanks, -Bob
