Subject: [RBASE-L] - ODBC Error (Static Cursors)--Avery DesignPro
Incompatible with 64-bit Win
The answer from Avery support is that DesignPro 5.5 does not work
properly with 64-bit Windows (neither Vista nor Win 7). They have no
plans to fix this, and instead are pushing their cloud-based label
creation service.
There is no mention of the 64-bit problem in the DesignPro system
requirements posted on avery.com, and the program appears to install
and run OK. But some things don't work, and output can be corrupted.

Hello Tom,
Very interesting ...
If you can access the data from other applications successfully under the
same installation and configuration of R:BASE ODBC driver on the same
workstation, then I would investigate the process and routine that is used
by Avery DesignPro 5.5.
Just for my own curiosity, was this application working properly before,
or is this something new you have encountered? If yes, what has changed
or what was installed on that particular workstation? What happens when
using the same scenario on a different workstation?
Hope that provides you with some blue's clues ...
Also, FWIW, Build: 7.6.8.30331 is the currently available build of R:BASE
7.6 for Windows. http://www.rupdates.com
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
