Thanks Steve, there is ALWAYS more than one to solve a problem in R:base.

Dick,
You can:
Unload data from tablename as csv
That will eliminate the quotes and the currency format.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - SET CURRENCY
While we are working toward a switch to Extreme 9.0, we are still
operating in 7.5.
State has decided we must file sales tax on-line, but we can upload as a
CSV file.
Quite easy to create using Gateway Export.
However...
Using SET CURRENCY ' ' PREF 2 D
Gets rid of the $ in the output, gets rid of the comma between
thousands, but the decimal becomes a comma.
Help indicates it should be a period.
In addition, is it possible to eliminate the double quote marks around
each item?
They recommend saving to an Excel file, then exporting as CSV.
Results are exactly the same as exporting directly from R:Base.
