I have two PDF viewer issues that I cannot solve. Using V9-64 with
latest update.
1. I create PDFs for almost all reports, save them in a sub, and use
PDF viewer to view/print. Lately, DB Checkboxes have started to
show in the PDF viewer as a small 6 pointed star for unchecked and
small rectangle for checked regardless of how I have
checked/unchecked set up. A report printed through the Viewer
prints the stars and rectangle. Open the exact same PDF file in
Adobe Reader and the DB Checkboxes are actual checkboxes, no stars
or rectangles. Print this same file through Reader and it prints
checkboxes. The entire process works correctly in V8 so I dropped
V8 EEPs into V9: same star/rectangle results. If I simply run a
print command which avoids the V9 Viewer, the printed report comes
out as it should with checkboxes. If there is some place to adjust
this in V9 Viewer, I do not see it.
2. For some reason Adobe Reader has started to turn on whenever a PDF
file is read into the viewer. How do you avoid that? It did show
the same outcome as above on the same file, at the same time:
Viewer had stars, Reader did not.
This has become a major problem since the reports are large and uses
many checkboxes which have always printed correctly to printer or
through PDFs. The odd part is that at odd times the V9 version runs
perfectly for two runs then the stars come back. Same outcomes on 4
different computers. What am I missing?
