Thanks Frank,

Is the Server 2008 the 64 bit version of OS?

John,

I have been running a production database that we are converting from 7.6
for a few months now on Server 2008, with RBase 64 bit with no issues. I
also run it on my own machine which is Windows 7 64 bit, no issues and
finally I also have used it on a Terminal Server running windows 2003 with
no issues.

One other item.

The network engineer brought up the thought that perhaps RBASE has issues
with the 64 bit version of Server 2008. I do not think that is the case,
but this is the only account that I have with the 64 bit version of Server
2008. I have other sites running the 32 bit version of Server 2008 and they
are not having the problem.

Is anyone else running RBASE with MS Server 2008, 64 bit OS?

Oh the TS issue...a couple things to note:

is TS running on it's own box? ie other network functions like primary
domain controler, backup domain controler, print server, etc are on another
box?

is the TS box able to handle being a workstation for 12 - 14 users? ie it
has to have the RAM and processor for EACH of those users to run the app and
any other programs such as OS, office, email, printers, etc..

and this suggestion I'm not sure what it means but I heard that a TS app has
to be installed in application mode, but since I run compiled apps and don't
do an 'install' (I just copy files over to a local directory) I'm not sure
what that intails for a compiled app...anyone know?

I have a client that is running MS Server 2008 (64 bit) and the RBASE
application (V8 compiled) hangs about 3-4 times a day. When it hangs it
posts an error in the event log stating that RBASE is not responding and the
detail describes a "Cross-Thread" condition.

Typically 12 - 14 users logged on. All users are running Terminal Services.

Is anyone else running MS Server 2008 (64 bit)?

Does anyone know what causes this type of problem?

Any help will be appreciated.

John
