I had to make a fast little app. I used a rff w/bmp background. It seems to run the same, local or network.
Just the 4 db files, one bmp, rff and exe. Paul I couldn't notice only because I thought I was local and in fact I was on the network copy. Ooops. Linux and later I will try MS-2008, Perhaps tonight I might have time to add some timers to the form and track the difference. For example, when I drag the application around the screen in v9, it paints many windows and slowly the old locations disappear. In V8 same application, no problems. At first I thought it was the theme, so I disabled the theme and it still plays catch up on painting the compiled application. Same network, same program, but with compiled 7.6 its fast, compiled 9.0 is very slow. Tom Hart
