Jan,

You may need to put '\\' in front of the ip address . I've never used ip
addresses but use unc names all the time.

Your problem is going to be that performance will be absolutely terrible.

Group,

I have a question that I've been scratching my head over and haven't had a
chance to try it.

With the ability of the Extreme 9.0 compiler to include all forms and
reports and application

extras including external forms, it seems to me that it would be possible to
connect to a a

database anywhere in the world and retrieve and manipulate the data with the
exe located elsewhere.

My question is,

what would the CONNECT look like?

CONNECT XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\databasefolder\dbname

Just wondering.
