James, This optional feature of "Relational Verification" is implemented and intended to check the relational integrity while in the Data Designer, so you don't have to type everything (column names, data types, etc.) and then find the problem when you have done all that work and are ready to save the table. Then, you would lose everything and have to start all over again. So, if you are confident and don't need to check/verify everything while in Data Designer, you may turn off this setting, if you wish. Here's how: Database Explorer|Main Windows|Main Menu|Settings|Data Designer Un-Check the option for Relational Verification.
Is this normal?
Only if you have checked the option for Relational Verification.
Can I do anything about this?
Turn off this feature as explained above. Hope that helps! Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
