Marco,

"Database Schema is Read-Only" indicates that STATICDB is ON. This is
typically controlled either in the .CFG file or the startup file.

You don't mention which files you copied from C: to "the drive" which
resulted in the error. Do you mean the database files or the R:BASE
executables? If the latter, you need to assure that you have your expected
R:BASE configuration file in the startup folder or specified with the "-c"
parameter to RBG76.EXE.

If you're trying to connect to the database via Oterro, then the Oterro .cfg
file must be properly set up and contain the proper wildcard settings,
STATICDB setting and MULTI setting.

Hi,

I installed R:BASE 9.0 (64) on local PC with the sample ConComp and copied
the files from C:\ to the drive and than there is the error message while
opening from C: is no problem. If I copy the same files to an USB than there
is also no problem but there is the message database schema is read only.

Marco,

Error 7 is "unable to connect to database."

There are a myriad of reasons this could be the case. Is the database
available to the process? Are the settings (MULTI, STATICDB) correct? Look
for reasons why R:BASE/Oterro cannot find or connect to the database.

Hi,

I am testing iCload with WebDav as network in the cload and copied the
sample database ConComp in the cload and made a shared folder with the 4
files and tried to start the rb1 file.

Unable to connect database ( 7) error. Any idea why ?

----

Is there any experience with iCload or any other WebDav Servers in the Cload
?

Marco
