David,

FWIW, Build: 7.6.9.30809 is the currently available public update of R:BASE
7.6 for Windows.

Just like anything else, always make sure to keep yourself up-to-date with
R:BASE versions and updates. R:BASE Updates: http://www.rupdates.com

I also suggest performing data maintenance (RELOAD), or a data integrity
check using the UNLOAD/LOAD procedure.

Corrupt indexes and pointers that cause I/O ERROR(s) when modifying table
structure are also eliminated by performing these very simple maintenance
routines.

The technical article "Database Maintenance (R:BASE 7.6 for Windows)",
posted on December 29, 2008 should help you understand the technique and
steps to keep you database healthy.

From The Edge: http://www.razzak.com/fte/

This will also help eliminate any issues when accessing Data Designer or
using ALTER command to add/remove column(s) or modifying table structure.

Hope that helps!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
