Mike,

Did that. Set v vfilename text='BillTest.pdf'

Print Rptname option PDF |filename 'BillTest.pdf'|open on
   - report printed and opened in pdf with the filename:BillTest.PDF

If I use a |FILENAME &vfilename the report printed and the filename becomes
&vfile.pdf

If I use a |FILENAME .vfilename the report printed and the filename becomes
.PDF

If I use any combination in a button eep, I get the file sharing error.

Reduce it to its simplest terms.  Do it from the prompt using a simple
filename and not a variable.  Start with that.
