I have the same nightmare. I've got Reals used where INTs would make more sense and Reals where I would like to convert to double for the reasons stated by Bill. I prefer NUMERIC. But this system goes back to DOS pre-history (the original version was actually carved on stone using the RChisel editor) and it would be a nightmare to have to change now. There was an inline fix this morning that cured the problem. -- Larry ________________________________ From: Bill Downall <[email protected]> To: RBASE-L Mailing List <[email protected]> Sent: Thu, November 18, 2010 11:16:30 AM Subject: [RBASE-L] - Re: Big problem with REAL (possibly in 11/16 update) On Thu, Nov 18, 2010 at 11:01 AM, Lawrence Lustig <[email protected]> wrote: This system has been in continuous operation for about 20 years, never showing this display issue prior to this morning. I haven't created a REAL datatype column since 1989, and changed many former REALs to DOUBLE just to avoid these issues.
