In reviewing some of the threads, it looks like loading the users
doc/docx files as rtf and then customizing it "in house" is the way to go.
From an RBase screen, when updating a customer record, just click on
one of the "standard letter replies" button and paste their
name/address into the appropriate rtf variable. Currently, the user
jumps out to Word to print or email a letter.
My original thought was to pass the necessary parameters to Word, but
then we are at the mercy of the user and MS changes.
It's only one letter at a time, so no mail merge needed, but I do
need to know the best way to update the rtf variable with the
appropriate name/address.
