Gary:  I just now spent some time playing around with this, and you're 
right.  The Data Interchange Format did a nearly perfect job of printing 
multi-column reports to a ".dif" file.  I had never heard of that extension 
before, 
but the "open after printing" brings it up in Excel.   The only problem I 
had was a report that had a wrapping DBMemo control in each row at the far 
right; lines after the first one were showing up in the previous column.  But 
other then that, every report I tried exported very nicely!
