My computer runs about 300 R:BASE routines (data loads, reports, etc.) against several databases every day. The Symantec SEP program runs an AV scan each Thursday morning. Unfortunately the scan is co-incident with my 300+ routines. The AV scan extends the run time of my programs by almost 3 hours. It's not a good thing.
I am wondering if excluding the databases from the scan would help. Would excluding my R:BASE command files help? Anyone else have experience and wisdom they could share regarding AV scan configurations?
