Steve Thanks I did not realize there were 1D an 2D barcodes. I just started looking into this. All I want to use the bar code for is Custnum fields.

However, it seems to be about the best you can get in its price-range. The only thing I might suggest you investigate prior to purchasing anything is whether or not you might ever want to utilize 2D barcodes, which might require a little reading into what 2D barcodes could do for you. (I suppose you would begin with RBase Help, "Understanding 2D Barcodes", "PDF417", "Maxicode", etc.) I suggest that because the LS2208 can only read 1D barcodes. Also, I bought the USB version, which has worked fine and just like the keyboard/wedge version. As for the Zebra printers, I don't know the model you mention, but we are using several of their heavy-duty S4M versions to print rolled & perforated card-stock, essentially HEAVY-DUTY 3x5 labels. So far, they seem very rugged and reliable. I was thinking of a Zebra TLP 2844 and Symbol LS2208, are these any good? Thanks Marc
