[RBASE-L] - POS system

I have a need and a quandry.
 
I need a POS system for a client. I would like to do it in R:BASE.
However opposed to that desire is that I can purchase complete
POS systems for under $1500.
 
I would much rather do it in R:BASE. Has anyone done a POS system?
