Albert:  But as I said in my email, this one form has about 20 dates
on it.  And 99.9% of the time the input will be the year 2000 and later.
They would KILL me if I told them they had to type in a 4-digit year
simply so that .1% of the time they could type in "1967"

If there is no way around it, then so be it.  But I can hear them saying
"but this worked fine in the old version"
