I can't imagine backing up over the internet, and doing it less than once a day. I actually back up several times a day and do it with a simple little program that reloads the database to any computer on the local area network, then at days end simply copy the freshest copy to a fob drive or to a laptop which I take home with me.
The only thing you have to do is make sure all other workstations are disconnected at reload/backup time, so I walk through the office and shut any computers down that are still running, then do my thing.
