In Windows, radio buttons are designed to be used in groups where one is always
selected and the others are automatically deselected.

In situations where you just want to toggle an option ON/OFF a checkbox is the
correct control to use.

Patti,

It kind of sounds like you tried to create a group using individual buttons.

I don't think that a single radio button is appropriate. If you have a yes/no
use a checkbox (checked = y, unchecked = no).

I use radio groups for 2 and up.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - radio buttons
Hi,

1) I'm using radio buttons on a form for the first time. I can't figure out
how the user can un-check the button if they checked it accidentally.

2) I made a radio button group and then copied it to another area to save time
setting up the next group. When I grabbed it and moved it, I was able to move
the individual buttons and their text. But once I save it with the new button
values and texts, I could no longer move the individual buttons. Is there a
way move them after I saved it?

3) The Help Index and Search never seem to have the answers to my questions. I
need a user manual. Does Rbase have them on a CD that I could print out?

Thanks,
Patti
