Bill,
I can see why it is so hard, especially using the new data
designer for the first time, when you are familiar with a
DOS environment <g>.
It is not that complicated at all. Here are a few tips which
might help.
01. First get acquainted with the layout of the Data Designer.
Starting with Tables, Columns, Key/Indexes, Rules, and
then Triggers and all actions related to each section.
02. Each module includes its own items/actions to manage the
module.
[Shift+F1] will always bring up the specific Help topic
for you to review.
03. While in [Columns] section, use the options on the left
to Add, Insert, or Delete column(s).
You may also use [F2] to Insert or [F9] to delete column.
04. While clicking on the Column Name, Data Type, or Length
cells, you may review all details on the far right section
under "Description". This will provide you with more
details, etc.
05. Always press [Enter] key when done entering or updating
Column Name, Data Type, or Length before moving to next
cell.
It is all about getting used to a whole new interrace. Just
a matter of time.
Make sure that you are always having fun!

Razzak.
