Maybe a stupid question but nevertheless,
I have a central computer, which is running on windows 7 and currently used as a fileserver and gateway It works fine. Now I like to make use of a compiled R:Base application. The application itself is running on the local laptops but I like to have the database running on this central computer. My question is: should I replace windows 7 by windows server 2008 to do this or is the current situation good enough to run this application. Suggestions are most welcome. Tony
