I have a delima to solve. I use the "shortname" option as listed in the config file settings. I have clicked the option and save the config file. Everytime I re-open the database and check the settings, the shortname option is unchecked. This option works on everyother system I have setup.
This is a new installation for RBase V9.1(latest version) on a server using Window 2003. I have done the following... 1. Viewed the native config file and it shows the shorname option as on. 2. Made sure the config was in c:\windows directory. 3. Searched the system for any stray rbengine files and found none. Evidently, the system is not looking somewhere to load this configuration. I don't have a clue. Thanks Gary
