Javier,

Yes the conditions are exactly the same, it is the same server and I have
worked with the program for months in a non compiled version on that server.

But now I like others to use the program too and therefore I have compiled it.

The only thing that has changed is the drive / directory, because of production
reasons.

But in this case I have removed the filename specification and so on, so that
should not create any problem

Tony,

Is the non-compiled application also working on the same server via Remote
Desktop?

If you are running via RDP you need to make sure that a PDF reader is available
on that server; many server don’t have a PDF reader routinely installed..

The cause of the problem is probably situated in the compiled version of the
program, because the program works fine in the non-compiled application.

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Print Option PDf in combination with Remote Desktop

Hi,

I have a compiled program running on a server with a remote desktop connection.

When I try to print a PDF, the command is not further executed when the
message ‘printing’ is shown on the screen

The statement (after having removed every other option in the print statement)
is:

PRINT RETOURBERICHT_DBC WHERE DBC_ID = .V_DBC_ID OPTION PDF |OPEN ON

The first step in the execution is fine (it shows a form in which you can
change your printer, filename and so on)

Am I missing something or are the rules of the game different using Remote
Desktop?

Any help is much appreciated

Tony
