Finally I have found the cause of the problem. Still don't know how it happened, but the report was corrupt, all sub tables were gone in the definition, while it was still allright in my development environment. It explains why it was working fine not using the compiled program. Tony: As a test, have you tried putting in a filename specification? Just have the file go to the database directory to see if anything comes up (put a filename with no drive or directory specified). That would be an important first clue.
