Frank, Excellent. I had a couple of ideas of how to do it inside R:BASE but this sounds like an excellent alternative.

I use WinSent (www.winsentmessenger.com [http://www.winsentmessenger.com/]) It easily integrates with AD within Multiple domains and users can look up any domain users to send messages to. But the main reason I use this is to send broadcast messages to my domain users from RBase. So if I need RBase to communicate with a user, group of users or entire domain I create a bat file on the fly and launch it all within RBase to accomplish this. It uses very little overhead when it is just sitting waiting for a message or for the user to initiate a message, unlike AIM, Yahoo and others that hog resources and are working external to your network and susceptible to hacks and spam. Check it out and If you need code examples on using it within RBase I can provide some. Frank Taylor - Information Technology Administrator F.J. O'Hara & Sons, Inc - Araho Transfer Inc.
