Dan,

When I Trace at the R> and CONN dbname, I get the Access Violation.
If I could connect to the data base, then I would Unload it.
Using Rscope, I set the file size of the RB3 file to zero (in the RB1 file) but that didn't help.
And, as expected, appears the customer's most recent backup wasn't that recent...

You can trace to the error and see what is going on.

Thanks Dennis/Dan.

When I connect and reload, it only gets part of the way through the tables.
Interesting that RBscope 7.6 doesn't pick up an error.

Just rename the db, connect, reload.
INDexes will be fixed.
The rb3 file is just derived data, db can be rebuild without it.

When you unload the structure and data it only unloads the index commands.
It will reload the indexes when it is loaded.

You should probably upgrade to 9.1 to take advantages of the new features,
performance, and bug fixes.

Unable to open a user's data base using RBase 7.1
"Exception EAccessViolation in module RBENGINE.DLL at ..."

I recall that when Unloading Structure and Data you should also
include Indexes.
RScope reports no errors (???)
I guess I can show a file size of zero for the RB3 file and rebuild
all the indexes and then get the build index commands from an earlier
copy of the data base.

But, looking for an easier solution in 2012?

TIA,

Dennis
