Hi All, I have noticed that if I CONNECT to a database or DISCONNECT from a database while another user is connected, it can take as much as 30 seconds to complete the command. Even more suprising to me is that it takes longer to disconnect than to connect. In a single user environment, the connect and disconnect happen almost instantly. The difference gets better if the 4 database files are in a folder with no other files (that was a tip from John Minyo). Is there anything else I can do to speed up connect and disconnect? Mike
